Sincerely, it was an excellent stay for my business trip. All the staff were superbly friendly, affable. The restaurant here was top-notch for dinner, I both ordered excellent dishes. The view was lovely of the lake. Countryside location was a plus. It was across the amazing area.

The converted mill retains a unique charm, showcasing its 1833 origins with exposed beams and rustic decor. A lovely spot where the grounds feature a tranquil pond.
My twin room's beds felt more suitable for a Wookiee than a human-2' 6'' frames left me tossing and turning all night. The setup lacks sufficient sound insulation, meaning the revelers in the hallway gave me an early wake-up call at 1 AM and then again at 6:30 AM by some noisy breakfast group. A lock on my door was finicky, requiring some wrestling, and the door to the landing creaked loudly, disrupting any possible peace. For a spot with a reputation, these quirks.

The location, looking out over the river to the ducks and swans was wonderful. Very relaxed atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff and fantastic food. Ate dinner and English breakfast both excellently prepared. Free wireless internet makes a nice change to the typical charges at chain hotels.
Bedroom was a little tired and I would have preferred a shower to a bath tub.

Helpful, intelligent staff. Breakfasts were excellent and the location ideal for Cambridge. Very comfortable
Heating in the bedroom (on top floor) was questionable. Bathroom was rather chilly.

comfortable room but limited dining options
The room was beautifully decorated with neutral tones. The large bed provided great comfort.
The dining options were somewhat limited .

The view from the bedroom window and the decor of the bedroom. Breakfasts were excellent
The stairs to the top floor were quite steep and could be a problem to the more mature and also a taller person had to be a little careful of the beams.

The beautiful double room was very comfortable with an extra-large bed and a lovely neutral decor. The partial lake view was a nice touch, and the shower was consistently hot, with large towels provided. Free off-road parking was super convenient, and it's set in such a beautiful area that i can only imagine how lovely it is in the warmer months.

The location was excellent, superb views over the water with the swan and ducks. The gardens were well maintained and it was very nice to be able to sit outside and enjoy the scenery. The downstairs of the hotel was very well equipped with good furniture and fittings, and was well decorated. The female member of staff that looked after us during all of our stay was extremely polite, friendly and efficient. The breakfast was very nice and dining room clean, which overlooked the gardens.
The upstairs of the hotel was disappointing. We stayed in room 4 which was small and really did need to be redecorated, with cracks along the ceiling, the sealant along the base of the shower looked manky and the walls were chipped. On the edge of the wall in the bed area a length of metal threshold strip had been nailed to it to stop more wear and tear. The furniture was very dated and didn't match the conti board dressing table. If you used the drawer on it, you would pull the kettle off which had a long length of electric flex dangling. It was a shame because the location of the hotel and moderness of downstairs is such a contrast and as I said before was lovely. The mattress was very hard unfortunately.
